My friend and I go camping on the days between xmas and new years every year. This year we were trying to get to a spot I found on the south side of the Cowichan river but as soon as we crossed the bridge at Skutz falls the road turned into this. It was that heavy super wet snow that instantly packs into ice. I was excited to test out my new tires but my friend's truck is badly in need of new shoes and eventually got fully stuck. And then stuck again, and then again. After getting pulled free the third time we gave up on trying to go further and went to a back-up spot near Lizard lake.
