Tadjiss Lake in Cowichan - Access for stock vehicles?

Good Morning everyone...

Been a bit of a lurker on here for awhile now... finally decided it's about time to post a question to the group... I apologize if this isn't the correct forum...

I've been doing a bit of reading here on about Tadjiss Lake, and access via Skutz Falls.

1) Is it doable in a stock JKU?

Thinking about heading up that way with the kids and having a look...

2) Do I need to worry about gates up that way and in/out times? etc...

New to the area and haven't started exploring yet, but it looks like a cool place to start and close to home...

Thanks for any tips / advice... Looking forward to seeing some of you out there on the trails...

Rob.

A friend of mine does that route regularly in a quad and he told me my truck can do it easily. No gates that way either.

Hey hbpaints did you ever check that area out? I was wondering the same thing as the original post from the map is from 2016. Did you just follow the Mayo road access as was shown from the original post?

I went to Tadjiss 2 weeks ago. We entered through Glenora and the manned Mosaic gate. My neighbor was up there in his sxs and came up the powerlines. That way is steep af and probably a no go for full sized 4x4s. There is a route that goes a bit west before coming back to tadjiss. If you put your start point on Skutz google maps shows this route.

I caught a decent rainbow too!
