if the rains are a commin we should make plans for a summer run! the west coast and the mountains would be storm watch weekend. this warm and stormin is always fun. nitinat and port renfrew trough nanaimo lakes. if the gates locked at the end of nanaimo lakes black jack is open. i made a trail last year a km before the old timberwest booth. we should be able to skirt around through franklin. got any ideas? what else ya going to do? there wont be much dust with the rains.

theres real good mud out behind boomerang lake. to the old hangout spot. it should be almost dry now. all that area has lots of roads. take the mainline which is the west side of northwest bay rd. nwb rd. which is just north of nanaoose. dumount to nwb is a good run too. lots to explore. a few lakes. if ya got lots of gas blackjack lake is a jewel of the island. good hiking there too. have fun. good luck.
