I had my old 4runner right up to the windows once... too bad the motor didn't survive it!

Hah, this photo was taken about 2 minutes before this one: http://www.vioffroad.com/gallery/1/theres-something-wrong-engine-durr

After a tow out we pulled all the spark plugs and watched it chug out like a litre of water.

Started right up after that though!

22R is famous for exploding after sucking a cylender full of water. It's always #4 cylender. Mine had lots of TLC after being sunk, and ran like a dream for another 700 km then blammo.

snorkels are good, just make sure your diff breathers are vented. but I guess if you're putting on a snorkel you probably already know that.

Worst experience I ever had was burying my ...don't laff now....1986 Hyundai Pony up to just below the windows in the crossing at Leechtown....luckily somebody came along with a real 4x4 and hauled my stupid ass out...drained the oil and re-filled, same with the gas tank, and after about 3 hours drove it home.....had to empty the thing all over again, drain the 5 spd tranny and the rear end...changed the plugs and drove it for another 5 months until some kids stole it from in front of the Subway in Duncan and then tryed to jump a big rock on the power line cut out in the Fairbridge farm area of Duncan....bent the car really bad, but the motor ran....car went from a near death experience in the river to an inglorious off road death...soon after, i got my first truck, a 1979 Ford F-250 4x4....and had lots more fun
