You would have to jack up the rear of the truck, put it in neutral and spin the tires. If both tires turn in the same direction you have an LSD, if they spin in opposite directions it is an "open" differential.
Going out on Sunday, not going to be stock friendly. We may spend some time out of our rigs cutting new trail into a spot we have been looking at that could turn out to be a great place to play. I'll PM you a meeting time and place once I know if you're interested.
If you're just going to do a shackle lift, go see the folks down at Hubcity spring in Nanaimo, they will have the shackles and hardware you require. They may be able to supply you with an IFS lift for it as well if that's the direction you want to go in.
On to my second option, Borrowed a 12ton bottle jack from work and made short work of it.
New ball joints pressed, new axle shafts tomorrow and finish assembling.
Them little U-joints can sure make a mess.
