Will a radio shop program a frequency that is used by TimberWest on their private haul road, without an endorsement letter from TimberWest ?
What model Icom are you using ?
What antenna are you using ?

I'm new to this, have an Icom IC-F121 with the 35 RR frequencies and the LAD channels.
Using a Larsen WB 34.5"
This is a 50W unit.
Would like to be licenced soon.

Rust is the issue with YJ & TJ models ...
As mentioned by Kiwiboy ..... the 4cyl. is underpowered. Best to avoid.
A moderate lift with 32" - 34" tires are acceptable for a daily driver
Shop around ..... Kiji is your friend. Good luck !
