It works great out of the box, but I also did some digging online and found a torrent with the full north west backroad/logging road topo map. I like it much better than the built in street maps and it works great out in the bush. If you get a garmin unit I could probably give you a copy as well.
I'm down for sure! I feel like I haven't been wheeling at all this summer. I got a new bumper for my truck too - just need to find someone to weld the frame end-caps on (you wouldn't happen to have a welder, would you)? Should have it ready to go this week for sure though. We should do sherk or just explore up copper canyon somewhere. the 22nd works for me.
hah that snorkel is badass! If you can grind the connector piece you wouldn't even know it was abs. I've been looking for a snorkel for my 3rd gen forever - might have to rip off your idea
I use a Garmin nuvi (http://www.amazon.ca/Garmin-2597LMT-Bluetooth-Portable-Lifetime/dp/B00AX...)

Anyone else want to join?

If you look very closely, you can actually see that one of the wheels has left the ground entirely :)
Hey Fatty, is this pic near the forestry pools off hillcrest? Looks identical to a spot I know..
