Looks good man. Do you still run with those cables up front? I've been thinking of doing something similar on my truck. I've come so close to breaking my windshield on multiple occasions, just not sure if the steel wire would help more than it would hurt. Do you get a lot of tree shit stuck in there? I can picture exiting the bush with a few christmas trees hanging off the sides with some of the stuff we go through.. hah
Welcome to the site Tyler! If you're ever down in cowichan looking for some new trails I'm always up for some exploring. Seems we have a bunch of new members up north island these days but I haven't seen any runs put together yet. Make a post next time you're going out and see if you get any bites.
I don't think we hold any grudges against mainlanders here, hah. You've certainly moved to a good spot. I haven't done any exploring up there, but you're surrounded by a million lakes and mountains. I know we've got a few members in your area but I haven't seen too many pics from that neck of the woods yet. You'll have to meet up with some of us and provide us all with some good shots.
I don't know this area at all, but it looks like if you kept heading west past the second little lake you might find some pretty good views. Seems like a pretty abrupt ridgeline from the topo lines. I love to explore Google earth and mark all of the possible routes to a certain location, then drag them all into my gps and just keep trying until I get there. Looking at the sat view you can see way more roads than exist in the backroads mapbook.
That first lake looks good too - seems like you just about made it. If you had you probably would have been the only ones there for quite a while - doesn't appear there are many other roads in.

And yes, post some pics of your rig!

Good exploring!
Welcome to the site Hailey! I've still got a number of stickers - I'll pm you to make arrangements.
