I'm finally back together - that was the worst axle job I've ever done by far. Had to cut my upper balljoint off just to get the spindle out, then put a drill press on it to get the broken bolts out but ended up removing half of the threads in one of the ball joint connector holes. I'm 80% sure it will hold, but if not I may be losing a wheel at some point in the near future (hope not). The alternative was to buy a whole new spindle, and I have no motivation to do that. Anyway, let's put this thing to the test, are you around any time this week for some skutz exploring?
BeRadical ^^ you have no idea how much I'm considering this.
Glyn - I'm taking my spindle assembly to get machined today. hopefully I'll have it all back together with the new axle by end of day. I'd be up for an afternoon trip some time this week if you're into it.
So far I've had about a 10% success rate with pulling any and all bolts on this truck. The whole damn thing is covered in a layer of corrosion and they just break like they're made of putty. A sas would be appealing almost for this reason alone - I would love to torch all this ifs stuff out and never deal with it again! :)
I wouldn't mind knowing this as well. I've been wanting to check out the big dam down from Diversion. If I had to guess I would say you start somewhere around Jordan river and follow the river up. Maybe someone here has been up there recently and can confirm.

Those are some fresh trails! hah, looks awesome. Some of those sections definitely require an exo - those are window breakers if I've ever seen one.
You should add this to the video section (you can just copy&paste the link).

Well, I just broke off 3 of the 4 spindle bolts at my lower balljoint. I'm not going anywhere for a while.. the corrosion wagon strikes again :/
