Hey all...
Looking for a good shop to get OOP done. I have a HJ61 and a 98 jetta tdi. Both are super good in terms of actual SAFETY but there are things I was told by ICBC that would make it fail.. like rust not restored to manufacturers specs ( i welded in panels.. they look good.. stronger metal than the OEM garbage on my mexican VW... manufacturers specs? wtf..)
anyways.. someone wanna pm me a shop thats friendly ? im not rich but i really want to avoid this headache and feel like im playing a game of russain roulette at this point. would pay a decent rate for a decent fellow.
both vehicles are super tight front ends and good brakes .. all lights work. etc. no poke all mudflaps nothing illegal or unsafe in the actual form. good tires. nothing stupid. i drive 60k a year and value my life quite highly.

I think all shops are pretty strict because they are afraid to get fined or lose their certification or whatever. I tried to bribe a local garage to safety my truck last year with my front tinted windows and they refused haha. I ended up going to canadian tire.
