real toys for the big boys

i hope everyone caught a glimpse of them makin the new godzilla. the name seems to be up for grabs. the toys they had are awesome. real humvees. imagine how smooth the ride is in a 8 ton gp at 120 mph off road. ye haa! baja here we come. i had a friend up in koksilah hood had a 6x6 he used for firewood. it feels like nothing would stop it. i thought id start this thread about what amazing toys we have on the island and i hope to give some credit where it belongs. godzilla gave me the idea. but i aint building no gas guzzler. but im sure one or two of ya need to crush some trees. make a path for the little guys. like me and pink.

it was cool to see the workings of the movie. they used a semi cord of fire wood for smoke. they used a cn train. must have been 10 vehicles in all. it was all at 7th and old vic. last week.

some local island toys. im amazed at what we find out in the woods and on our roads. does anyone know why u dont see diesel bikes? i aint an expert but i think they get good fuel economy and tork on bigger engines. but as they get smaller way more waiste. my best friend drives a diesel chev and it aint good on fuel. it could pull a mountain though. is the pic below of a chev with a reburner and turbos? cause diesel is bad for u. it must suck to be in eastern europe. iim from lake cow but with 10ft tires thats the biggest skidder ive ever seen. they must have gotten in the back way into walbran, to need that unit. :) id be able to get anywhere with that.

Hah I love that white van, looks a little top heavy though. Speaking of bigger offroad vehicles, I've always wanted a Unimog, but never seen one in person. They are pretty much my dream vehicle (camperized).

I've had a couple friends with mogs. They're sweet but unless you get the diesel (rare) they come with a inline-4 gas motor with about 1.8L displacement, which pretty much has negative horsepower... which means you need low range to get out of the driveway and they top out at about 70 km/h on the highway. Still awesome on the trail though, you can drive over anything at about 0.5 km/h.

THE BONE COLLECTOR
