Hi guys. Just joined. My lady and I aren't very familiar with the island spots. We have a new GMC Sierra 4x4 and are looking for easier mountain routes to check out. It's pretty stock, has upgraded A/T tires but that's about it. We live in Victoria but are willing to drive for a good view spot. Any suggestions? I've been reading other posts and Shawnagan seems to be recommended often. Is there a certain access point we should look for? Anyone know if its locked up at the moment. Any info would be greatly appreciated. We are not the type to leave a bunch of trash around, just good peeps looking for some outside fun.

Get a copy of the back roads mapbook from just about any gas station or book shop. Check out areas around port Renfrew and lake cowichan. Loads of amazing stuff you can access in your truck. Keep checking around here, people will sometimes post a trail-run or meet up or camping trip and its a great way to meet other adventurers and learn some new areas
