My 2002 ranger manual won't come out of 4wd. Any suggestions?

My 2002 ranger manual won't come out of 4wd. Any suggestions?

Trouble with the 4wd. I can put it into 4 we low, but when I shift it back the lights stay on and the speedo acts like it is at a different ratio.

Jack one axle up and ife her a shot? Do you have the same size tires front and back ?
