What kind of diesel are you considering?
Ive been toying with the idea of putting a 1999-2005 VW TDI in my '91 Toyota to replace the failing 3Z-VE.
We used one of these when I did the westcoast trail a few years ago. Friends and family could track our progress in real-time, and it was good to be able to check in at the end of the day.
Found my way in there yesterday. Not a bad trail when you just want to be reminded why you own a 4x4 but don't want to drive too far from town.
I bet it's a lot more interesting in November when all those holes are full of water!
I had my old 4runner right up to the windows once... too bad the motor didn't survive it!
Where do you start for this one? Is it off the end of Nanaimo Lakes Road where it turns to gravel?
