I just did the car Carmanah Walbran last Saturday, completely worth it, it's only about 3 hours hike both directions. Also if you actually research big lonely Doug ,it gives you exact directions, co-orditances if you really need too, as well as Avatar Grove...Easy find easy hike! If your going to the Walbran I highly recommend you check out the cheewhat cedar on your way,although if you couldn't find big lonely Doug much as though stumble upon it then it might be too hard for you, it is worth it though as the whole Valley bottom is filled with giant trees. Good luck there are signs to the Carmanah Walbran Provincial Park
