It's too bad Mt Sicker/Mt Prevost is closed right now.
Not only is there some cool offroad trails there but there's still some old remnants of the mining history there as well if you know where to look.
My work schedule is a bit odd, I work part time Fri-Sat and am a partner in a business that takes all of my Thursdays and sometimes other days at random as needed, so I usually have Sun-Wed off and I try to get out at least once every couple weeks. Sunday is the best day to explore areas that would be active and otherwise ill advised during the week but there are still places that are good to go on week days. I was just up in the Bear Creek/Red Creek area today getting some dirt time in with my girl and we finally made the trek today to see the big Red Creek Fir.
Looked like a crazy crawl through that gnarly boulder strewn creek bed.
Was that part of the trail in/out or a side adventure? O.o
I saw one like that on Sicker when I was poking around in spring, took one look and went NOPE! ;-P
Looks like you have a bit more clearance than I do though...
I always wondered about those (too cheap to be trusted) Costco winches.
I wasn't driving a 4x4 last time I saw those on sale but I was tempted to get one myself.
Glad to hear it's been reliable, sometimes a really good deal is just a really good deal. ;-)
