I used to walk up there lots when I lived in town and always wished the gate was open. Same with the other peak - it would make a great shot to get a few rigs lined up on that big ridge overlooking the valley.
That area has been gated for years, and is actively logged. Unfortunately a lot of the backside of that ridge is being logged now as well, so lots of the good view spots are disappearing. Your best bet is to enter at hill 60 and follow the ridge up from there and see what you can find.
Welcome to vioffroad! You've got the right idea - the best way to find the good stuff is to brute force the trails one by one. Some of the better trips I've had were down roads that likely hadn't seen traffic for years. I think my favourite kind of off roading is of the exploration variety.

Hope you have a good deployment man. Whereabouts are you headed?
Welcome to the Island and the group. Will keep an eye out for a good rig.
