There are definitely some nice spots you can find with a full size - they will be mostly off logging roads and powerline roads, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I would show you around but my truck has been out of commission for a ridiculous length of time now..
It's true that many of the seasoned wheelers will want to stick with other smaller vehicles, as otherwise it limits where they can go. In fact, I've been with groups where my 4runner is the big one and I'm cursing at the suzukis and trackers who can go down the trails I can't (the key to that you'll find is simply smashing your way through, but not if you value your body panels). That said, there are a number of members on the site here with bigger vehicles, so I'm sure a good run can be put together. You can find some great easy access spots just by heading down past Cowichan lake on the gravel, or in chemainus valley through the gates.
Anyway, welcome to the site and to exploring in general - hope you find a good run soon. Post some pictures of your truck on top of a mountain when you get there to show these naysayers what's up ;)
Hey guys, make a new thread about private forums if you want to talk about it - let's not muddy up this thread - but I am interested in exploring the possibility.
Hey welcome to vioffroad! Nice looking truck you've got there. Definitely know the feeling of needing to unplug from technology and get out of service/wifi range - pretty much the reason this site was started in the first place :)
