There is a lot of little lakes around here with some good camping.
Blackjack lake
Lucid lake (great camping)
Boomerang lake (lots of traffic)
There's an un-named lake up on Blackjack ridge (great camping)
Shenton lake has some great camping (getting further out)
Moriarty lake (again getting further out)
Healy lake (getting further out)
Rhododendron Lake
Kidney lake (fair amount of traffic up there) there is a great spot on the East side of the lake that not too many people know about though
Round Lake has camping

there is also some great places along the river.
If you need to know how to get to any of these places send me a PM.

I've been to Moriarty Lake and Rhodo Lake before. Moriarty will still be snowy though, could be 6", could be 3', you just never know until you try.
I camped out next to Rowbotham Lake once too but wouldn't really recommend it. Technically that area is closed and the hardest part is just getting in, it's stock friendly to get to once you're in unless some roads have been "deactivated". I was literally devoured by deer flies over the course of 24hrs there.
After I go to and get back from the Okanagan in a few weeks I promised to take my buddy out for a weekend trip to Nanaimo Lakes or maybe Port Alberni to wheel and camp so I'll be in need of good ideas within my fuel range and capability.

Don't think there's any snow left at Moriarty, we were up on Blackjack Ridge over the long weekend and Decosmo doesn't have any snow left on it and it is 2000m above the lake. I could be wrong though. Also Rowbotham is easy to get into, it's FSR all the way unless you want to go up Frank's Hill. Easily accessible even in a stock rig, you can enter in Nanaimo or go through Island Timberlands yard.

Just out of curiosity, the unnamed lake that your referring to on Blackjack Ridge. 1 or 2??

Thanks in advance!

I was speaking of 1, 2 is more of a swamp.
You can't camp lakeside, or at least you couldn't when I was there last, but there's a spot just up on the road where you can setup shop.
