Logging roads around Strathcona on the way to Gold Rover

Hi all, can anyone tell me if the logging roads off the highway to Gold River, around the strathcona park area, are active logging, or which company it is so I can get more info? Thank you!

I know this is an old post but wondering if you ever got a clear sense of what it's like around there?

No, I ended up doing a cross country road trip last summer and this year because of covid I haven't really left the coast. Would be interested to hear about it if you get up there.

I’m From Gold, what trails are you looking for? Campbell river side of gold is mostly run by mosaic logging, gold river and north is mostly all Western forest. Further north you go the better it gets.

Awesome pics, would love to explore up there - especially with less gates. Would love to find some more lakes up there.

Awesome pictures! I have been wanting to get in there for a while! Last spring Iruninca and I were bombing around Elsie Lake southeast of the park and ended up crossing into the South Park boundary on some roads. There were some very old roads in there! Wicked area! Can’t wait to tackle it from the North side and finally visit Gold River as well!

Cheers!

We should really set up a convoy drive up there next summer, covid-permitting.
