The abandoned Yellow Creek Mine is a very cool spot in the Alberni Valley. It is a large mine shaft that extends quite far into the mountain side. It is large enough for vehicles with several (tight) turnaround spots within. Access was very easy until recently when Mosaic gated off the main road up, as they have many nice trails off Cameron main. Legend has it capable wheelers can still find a way up, though parking at the mainline and walking is still an option chosen by some.

I think they stacked lock blocks in the entrance to the mine last year.
Very possible, Mosaic has been on a rampage lately closing access to all of the best destinations. If anyone has more recent photos feel free to post them.
