4x4 driver training

Anyone aware of any organizations that offer 1-2 days of basic training for new(ish) 4x4 owners? In the paddling community there are quite a few places one can get entry level and intermediate training before heading out into the great outdoors in your new kayak. 4x4 driving - not so much, apparently, unless I fly back to the UK which seems a bit extreme!

Thanks.

Not that I know of, personally experience is the best training you can have. If you feel uncomfortable doing something, then don't do it. There is however some basic courses on recovering a stuck, broken, rolled vehicle which is pretty darn important IMO because done wrong you could kill yourself or worse someone else. My suggestion to you is to get out with some people and explore, being newish to the hobby best place for you to be is behind someone with some experience, always watch the vehicle in front of you because they will either show you the proper line or the improper line and you can adjust as required. CVJC (Comox Valley Jeep Club) go out almost every weekend and would love to show you some local trails. If you are on Facebook look up "West coast jeeps" and "Comox valley jeep club" There is always postings to go out for stockers and modified rigs and both groups have great people in them.

Go out with some guys that are hardened spotters, and listen to the directions and fee the vehical. Any good spotter will be ale to teach you the limmits of the rig you ride.

So that`s my problem, Every time Tootsie`s spotting I usually have to pull cable or I end up breaking something.
Nothing to big though, as I`m thinking she just wants a nap and not a long walk home.

Thanks for the comments. I'm watching the CVJC and WCJ fora pages on Facebook pretty much hourly, it seems! Hoping someone posts who won't mind having a Newb tagging along.
