I'm not sure how many of you would be interested in these but I have heard great things from guys in the States about them. From the reviews, I have read they sound like they work quite well for the price tag.

On amazon in Canada, they go for over $300! currently though through a ton of interest On Tacomaworld.com the US amazon store has dropped their price from $140 USD to $96.96 USD, meaning we can get it for just over $140 CAD.

Amazon is offering Free Shipping as well in the continental US, To get around this I used www.seawings.com. they are a bonded carrier based at the Victoria Airport and bring items from their US warehouse over the border, at a rate of $17 for the first 5lbs and $0.45 per pound after that.

You will have to pay the Taxes that come with it coming over the boarder but in my past experience, there have not been much. (on a $1000 dollar canopy I paid $175 in taxes)

Just though ti would let you all know of this as a faster alternative before you try winching yourself out.

I used to carry something like this in my trunk to get me out of a jam when I was younger, stupider and drove my ghetto lifted Chevette with Mohawk winter tires on it around in the back bush of the Okanagan for kicks. I would often go in to stupid places with the 4-wheelers and eventually get myself stuck or high centered.
I want to see something like a system of 4x 12" wide folding ramps that can strap to your roof rack and be configured in to a 4x4 ramp or bridge up to 4' tall and 12' across and can take up to 10k lbs. Something like the Army Corp Eng instant bridge but scaled for personal offroad use, because, reasons.... ;-)
