Keep My Snorkel???

Hey. I plan to use my Jeep on gravel /rocky back roads. Some minor off roading, nothing extreme. I don't plan on crossing deep water/puddles/mud. I have a 3" lift. Is there any point of keeping my snorkel? I suppose a lot of puddles can throw water over the hood if driven through at higher speeds. The previous owner extended the breathers.

I don't care for the looks of it and it could be a little cash in my pockets ;)

Any thoughts?

I would keep it.. why not? It's worth it to avoid the risk of hydro-lock if you ever drive through any water deeper than a foot or two. It only takes one rogue 'wave' coming up into your air intake to wreck your engine. Here's a pic of my friend's old truck right after he hydro-locked it. Not very deep but he had too much speed and that's all it took. Also sometimes puddles are deeper than they first appear.. :)

Yeah. true. I might as well leave the Jeep as is. :)

The original intention of the snorkel was not for water, but to get clean air from higher up on dusty days. If it's on there now and you plan on traveling on dusty roads I myself would keep it. Cheers.
