New to Campbell River

Hello all. I just moved to Campbell river from Calgary. I'm super stoked to be out here. People keep telling me there are a million amazing trails I can drive my truck on. I just have no idea where to start. Anyone have any ideas or favorite trails?
Also, is there a good resource for finding out what/where trails are and which ones I can drive on and which I can't? I also would like to know where I can stop and put a tent up. I am new to BC so I just want to make sure I'm not going to get into trouble for breaking some law I didn't know about.

Hey welcome to the forum.
Not familiar with Campbell River.I don't venture that far up island.I'm sure there is lots of trails to explore there. Hopefully you'll get a reply from someone in that area.

Either way ill just start exploring. I picked up a search and rescue map with loads of back roads listed on there. I cant wait to start exploring this island.

Hey welcome to the forum, glad you found us :) yea grab a copy of backroads mapbook, can find in most book stores, that's a great tool to have :) there's def lots of spots to explore, like jas I don't often go that far north, but my roommate is from there. And he says there's alot less gates then down here!

Definitely get the Backroads mapbook. It's good for getting an idea of where to go but I find a lot of the trails marked in the book either aren't there anymore or are gated.
