"I read it in the paper and then checked online with both companies to confirm, and the damn paper was right.
All gated logging roads on Island Timberlands and Timberwest lands are closed to ALL PUBLIC USE until further notice. So that`s 23 % of the island, basically a twenty mile wide swath on the east side of the island from Goldstream to almost Sayward.
They even closed the trans Canada Trail where it goes though there land.
They`v also hired a bunch of extra security if your thinking of ignoring the order."
Would love to go but I'm still doing repairs from last weeks romp in the woods. drive shaft u-joints, axle shaft, rear hatch, wheel studs etc.
Still waiting for Brad and Shane to come to Nanaimo....We got lots of water for you to jump in.
You could use a setup like this couldn't you and eliminate the stock filter all together?
Google "Cowl intakes" it should give you some good ideas on how to do it.

I haven't been up there myself in a couple of years but I know people who have been up there recently.
Labor day lake or even Moriarty lake offer some great camping / fishing / hiking.....getting there is the tough part.
