Running your intake into your cab is very noisy I don't suggest it. If you don't like the look a snorkel you could always run your intake up into the cowl like I did.
I modified my air filter box and ran some 3" RV sewer line through the firewall and now it takes air from beside the wiper motor. No noise and I know I can be in water up to the bottom of my windshield (Not that I would ever do that) but it's not pulling from behind my headlight anymore.
Damage was pretty minimal actually didn't even break any glass. I will however have to hammer my roof line a little where my roof rack pressed it down and replace the p/side door, No big deal though.

Ya the stump got the better of me, funny you mentioned that because as I started going over I was thinking "Fuck I just replaced that window".
