porters is close to hillcrest, its a nice fairly easy run, with some good water holes inclines creek bed like access road, open open and some good tires will make it and a small to mid size vehicle = no body damage its really the scenery, some cool old growth down in there. who knows we may hit up skutts and red balls afterwards.

give me a shout 7one5 oh 1 nine 4 either tonight or tomorrow in the am, probably hook up between 10- 11

its cause no one wants to just start an argument for the sake of argument. that and Im sure were all busy getting our shit rolling for the summer!

I'm waiting on papers from my brother in law for this tub, and a little work, might have to rebuild all four brakes, calipers up front, and a complete rebuild in the rear but they work alright for now. haven't had the Heep fast enough to test the brakes at speed on account of the drive line wobble I'm hammering out next week hopefully.
only other thing I can think that I need to do is hook the b pillar roll bar into the frame with some ingenuity and fab time. I was looking at other peoples ideas for rock sliders and I think I found what I was looking for.... but rather than weld to the frame, I intend on sandwiching thew frame with two pieces of plate instead, it will be tighter in mine than in the pics as i dont have any body lift.

Im so close I can almost taste the mud hanging in the air, all I need to do is go over the rear end adjust the pinion angle and swap out a third. too bad I'm working full time now. Im actually waitingf till im on afternoons again and I will rock out on the heep.

Yah the fuse block is supplying me with some awesome interfierence from the ignition when running and i can hear the buzzer in it while the ingnition is keyed on.
Thw fact my hood isnt bolted down is a coincedence, and where I mounted my antenna iIshould ground it back to the body rather than rely on contact through the door hinges for an rf ground plain, your antenna is only half the system your tub on the vehical is te other half.
However I may be in luck that with a simple rewiring directly to the battery will provide a good clean signal with zero voltage drop under load.
