Oh, I gotcha. I don't know much about that stuff, but I have heard that tire poke is the main thing you'll get a VI for, more than bumpers or anything else.
My tires are well within my fenders, and I like it that way. I don't want the hassle of VIs on my daily driver.

That's what I do. You have to download sections of the Gaia maps in advance. So I've downloaded the entire island, but if I go to the mainland I have to remeber to downoad the area in advance.
Maps.me is a good backup for totally offline maps. You can download the whole country in advance and it doesn't take up too much storage.

Sorry, don’t know anything about it! I haven’t had a Garmin in many years, and it was just a basic on-road one.
