Well sort of but no ........LOL did that help it would work but there not user friendly to program ......buy a cheapo off ebay

Yes it did help that seems to be the way to go $30 off of eBay for the Chinese ones

yea baofeng, i have the UV5RE , very good, usually comes with accessories, not too bad to program

My only problem with hand held s is range not so good if its a tight group wheeling no more than a k apart would be ok ...The problem is the hand held antenna is crap its basically a dummy load it eats the 5 watt output your more like transmitting mil-watts not so much ....This will help very very much

I use one of these in my kids tracker http://www.lidomounts.com/hamradiomounts/seat-bolt-mic-HT.html uses a seat bolt to mount takes one min to install hold radio and mic
Hand mics are every were on ebay or amazon they much improve your audio every one hears

I have a couple of handheld VHF baofeng's and a in dash VHF as well. all work awesome
use ch 146.460
had the handhelds for a couple years now.
