Wheelin

Hi all, well I am new to this site and basically looking for people who would like to get outdoors and do some wheelin.... with all of our “covid” restrictions I would think lotsa a people would be down for day trip adventures...? Seems no .... are some of you worried about meeting new people due to covid? I’m just curious cause I keep trying to promote some fun day trips and no one is interested? Anyways if you’re worried about covid and want to get out then just say so and we can do this without having any close contact. I myself will respect what makes people feel safe in this interesting time. Anyways just wanted to give a shout out .... hey get off our ass’s and let’s have some fun here haha .... anyways look forward to hearing and meeting you nice people so have a wonderful day. Cheers 🍻 your friend Dave.

The forum usually quiets down in the winter though as people go into hibernation.

Hello Alex, I got ya bro ... I’m the kinda guy where if I’ll work in the rain and bad weather I’ll play in the rain and bad weather haha.... anyways it’s all good. I was not tryin to offend, I know all to well how sometimes with these covid lock downs it can get depressing so I’m just tryin to give some motivation if someone possibly needed it.

Good morning all, ok so being I have been going solo, and I live in Ladysmith I found alotta great trails rite across the hiway... ok so I live in Saltair haha it’s classified as lady smith. Anyways if anyone in Ladysmith or Duncan area is interested if you go like you’re going to peerless dump the trails are literally back there I did record a bit on the Gaia maps, it was a short trip yesterday only like an hour and half. Well I’ll post it so ya know where the entrance is and I’m heading out there again today! Cause for me to drive literally 9 mins of asphalt and be in the bush is awesome. So cheers all and have a wonderful day. ☀️

Good morning Seth, yes was really nice especially with the sun shine. Ya I recommend the trails behind peerless for sure! If ya ever want company heading in gimme a shout I’ll be happy to go. Also being it’s so close to my house I’m gonna drop my air pressure to 25 maybe 24 psi cause it’s only 9 mins of asphalt. What are your opinion’s on that? Cause I run a 33/12.50/15 6 ply I feel it’s a good compromise on flex stability traction and of course spare the truck kill the tires haha ...

Soon I hope! Wrapping up and need to a repair or two.

I usually go down to about 20, it's a lot nicer. Keeps you prepared as well.

So you run’m at 20 all the time? High way an all ... ?

Well it depends how far I'm going. If I'm going 10 minutes like you are to the dirt roads it wouldn't be the end of the world. I have definitely driven an hour aired down though, a little more wear and worse mileage (but I have a 90's v8, it's terrible no matter what).

I run at 20 on most trails, if you don't have a tire inflator they're a cheap and good investment. Air up at the end of a run.

Ya good call, I will get one for sure! For now while I’m close I’m gonna just try 20 psi and use the home compressor.
