New to the forum

Hey guys and girls.
I'm new to this forum and new to wheeling in Canada. I just got myself a 2nd gen tacoma with 6inch lift and 35s. I plan to have the bar work (sliders and bumpers) and lockers done before I do a trip to the island from whistler soon. I was wondering what are some good hard trails around the island. I have a lot of experiance wheeling as I had my own 4x4 club back in Australia so don't be afraid to send me into some gnarly tracks.

Thanks guys ✌
Ps I have attached a pic of my truck back in aus. (Twin locked hilux)

you'll be hard pressed to get anyone to give up trail locations on the island here for 2 reasons that I'm sure you'll understand being a former club owner.

1) You're new to the forums and there are watchdogs creeping around on all club forums (most land on the island here is private property)

2) publicly giving up trail information gets them decommissioned or everyone and their dog starts going to them and they turn into highways making them no fun as people who shouldn't be in some of these places start cutting out pinch points and stacking the trails.

If you would like a guided tour I'd be happy to take you out to some of the greasy places.
I've got a pretty lengthy thread going "B&Ms XJ fun"...have a browse through it and check out some pictures....if you're still interested shoot me a PM and I'd be happy to take you out.

Welcome!
I love watching Australian off road videos on YouTube.
Different kinds of terrain and scenery over there for sure.
Wheeling is bit different here on the island nowadays than it used to be when the back roads were always wide open.
A lot of FSR's are gated up now but wasn't always like this. A crooked land deal in the 80's resulted in most of our crown land on the island being handed over to private enterprise, which has now led to us being locked out of our own back yards. There are still plenty of places back there you could go for some challenging trails but it's knowing the right ways and times to go in and out and how to stay out of the way of commercial operations. Most Saturdays and pretty much every Sunday and holiday is when you're least likely to have any issues. Go out with some locals who know the area and you'll be fine. Sometimes the timber companies will even be nice and "forget to lock" a few gates for the weekend.

Hey welcome to the forum! yea best thing to do is just browse the forum and see what trails people do, also consider picking up a copy of back roads map book, super useful!
