I am from Victoria and have wheeled a good amount of trails part-way into sooke and around shawnigan, and also some around Mt. Prevost, but there are always some hidden gems among the trails that I have already tried. Many of the roads around these areas seem like just logging roads but I am more into wheeling trails/riverbeds and good mud pits. If you know of any decent places not too far from victroria, maybe we can organize something and convoy during the day one of these upcoming weekends? i have a few buddies with rigs and we are always up for a casual wheeling sesh. good shit man, yah the gems are pretty hard to find unless you know where to look and arent afraid of getting a little dirty... however logging roads driving is a big portion of finding those gems. I have a buddy who has found over half a dozen ww2 airplane wreaks from nitnat to porthardy. some are hard to find and involve some major wheeling others are a few paces off the main highway. Shane is still broken I think and I am just massaging out a few things before I commit too insuring the jeep again. I plan on going to the Fall camp and crawl to meet and greet some folks off Island 4x4.... we will ses how that goes I may just be told to leave as I own a jeep
Let me know if you are ever in the Nanaimo area, I could take you to some good trails around here. Shane is a great guide in the Cowichan area and has shown me some good wheeling, I'm pretty sure he's still broken though as stated above. Let me know if your going into the Cowichan area as I may make the trip down.

I don't have anythingn planned in the near future for cowichan but i would always be down to be shown some trails on the weekend some time. How about i let you know in the near future and if it works for you, we could meet around cowichan and go wheeling for a day? I would most likely be bringing a buddy with a jeep as well

sunday works for me too. I believe that day is the best option for everybody, especially me, as I will be leaving my gongshow-schedule part time job to work full time and as such will have weekends off. I'll PM you in a weekend or two and we can see what works ?

Hey guys i went with the jeeps to mt. Sicker yesterday and found some of their very cool wheeling trails (some of you might already know of these) but i would like to explore some more around that area and/or some trails that any of you might know of around the cowi area, would anyone be up for meeting up next sunday the 9th of november ??

I seen some pics of your run on WCJ Facebook page, looks like you all had some fun. I already have a trip planned for next weekend (the 2nd) in Nanaimo. It's not going to be anything too serious but if you want to make the trip your more than welcome. I'm leaving the following weekend for Mexico so I'm out on the 8th/9th.
i would like to come up, but nanaimo is a little far for us mainly my best friend jeep buddy whose jeep is not best suited for the highway lol. do you ever wheel around duncan or even south of nanaimo ?
lol you should see the xjs fatty and beer are running Im sure your buddy only needs maybe one ball joint fixed to runn down the high way. there are tons of spots in shawnigan and up thru till chemanus and ladysmith. only thing is either you need something built that can skip from track to track while out or something capable of booting down the highway to get to your long distant destinations... like CR or port hardy

I know how your buddy feels....my XJ doesn't like highways speeds but if I keep it around 90 or under I'm good. I love coming out to the Cowi area as it's just different wheeling in that area, and sometimes it's tough to find anyone to go out with in the Nanaimo area. I will be making many more trips to the Duncan area just not over the next month. That should give Shane more than enough time to get his animal mobile again.

found some very cool trails around mt. sicker today. definitely reccommend you guys come out for a sunday and we can explore a bit more. also i left my number up there in the comments somewhere ^ but if u wanna message me please PM me as my cell phone is destroyed
