WABDR

Alright, so who has heard ( or done?) the WABDR? My wife and I along with some friends are planning on hitting up the northwest overland rally this summer ( NWOR) and I know they always recommend 2 routes to get there, one is generic highway, and one is the WABDR. We are thinking about driving down to portland first, and starting it from down there, heading up through the route to the expo in Plain Washington, then after the expo heading up the rest of it to the osoyous border crossing!

So, anyone done it? Heard of someone who has done it? Would be great to get some info and start a convo on it!

Yes yes, I know its "vancouver island" offroad forum haha, close enough?

See link!

I have done parts of it. Not really technical but there are plenty of off-shoots where you can flex your suspension a little. I wouldn't do it alone. Also, lots of spring snow in places until about mid-June.

Sounds like a great trip! Do you know if is all driveable in the trucks? That link makes it look like a bike route

yea its definitely truckable! been watching tons of videos on youtube you can definitely find lots of jeeps and others doing it. Only issue I can see is there are fallen trees here and there that you cant predict, and well alot of the bikes will easily snake through. So I will def bring a chainsaw, lol. As for the rest well, just gotta work with what you got! good thing is most of the sections have bypasses if ever one section has a landslide or anything like that

also yea good info for the snow! Was thinking of doing it in late june early july
