Welcome! Nice looking ride, dig that 80's paint styling

There's lots in Lake Cowichan area - Hillcrest/Hill 60, past Youbou, tons to explore, and definitely worth the drive. For sure some people who could show you around as they showed me around too, just post and see if you can get a group out. Nanaimo Lakes Road has lots of off-shoots and exploration if you haven't checked that out. You do have to sign in though.

I just moved to Lantzville though, would be cool to check out the Foothills as that can't be too far from us and would be new to me.

Always have a soft spot for trackers. Such cool rigs. Awesome looking build and rig. Maybe we'll see that out on the trails sometime and see what it can do.

I agree with Jonathan, buy yourself a bush rig. I took my daily out and it's still got it's pinstriping. I bought a cheap rig and it's been worth every penny. You can find lots of cheap builds online.

If you want to run some logging roads though, I suggest the Hill 60 area. Or, just take some logging roads and explore. See how far you get.

Also recommend buying a backroads mapbook!
