Gordon bay area of lake cowichan

hey guys, im looking for some ideas of places to visit/explore around gordon bay. going camping there next week with the family. ill be in my tj on 33's with a winch and the father in law will be in a stock 4door medium sized pickup. so no extreme trails. im thinking of going up bolduc to see the crash site, and im wondering about other places that might be a good view or just a decent exploration. does anyone on here have any ideas that might fit the bill? pm me or just post up a reply.

Definitely go too bolduc area to check out the crash site and the views, I don't know how far you want too go but the Red Creek For is also something too see if you like big trees and lots of big trees in the area. It's near Fairy lake...

It wont let me upload anymore photos pm me if you want

That one had a massive washout last summer, it's likely only gotten worse too. I wouldn't take any fullsize pickup into that. Better to have a winch as well as a good gps to find that flora lake area crash.

Mt Bolduc is totally doable though, and definitely worth the trip. Lots of caves on the Gordon river area, further south but still cool to go looking for.
