Online source for 4x4 parts in Canada

Anyone have experience with purchasing 4x4 parts online? It seems most places are located in the states and have very $$$$ shipping. Lordco/princess can also be very expensive compared to some online retailers. Suggestions?

For bigger stuff, I've had success buying from the US and shipping to Seawings in Victoria (http://www.seawings.ca/). Basically they have a US address just across the border, so you can take advantage of free US shipping that many parts places offer, and then pay Seawings a fairly reasonable rate to get it across the border for you.

Beyond that, find a local distributor. For suspension/gearing/etc you can try Westshore spring in Colwood.

Ya I've heard of that company before, good to know they've worked out. Seems good and cheap at 17$/5lbs.

New is great....god I love new, but since I'm on a budget build having junkyard inventory at your fingertips is great too. Some things have to be new but some don't

I have to agree with beer on the junkyard being your greatest asset, I got a high amp alt and a newer selectable locker from local junkers. I will probably end up using Blue wing there to import some stuff for me eventually.
Word to the wise But my last experience was with a junker in Bellingham sent me a damaged part with clear hammer strikes to an aluminum gasket surface, sufficed to say credit card company withheld payment and the guy called me up threatening me, funny how he couldn't return my emails or phonecalls previously.. Fuckin wanker..

But seriously I have scoursed parts like ac compressor gaskets from the states, cb antenna adaptors form Ontario, will be ordering half my stroker off eBay.ca and you just have to keepo yuoiur eye open and be patient

depending on what you are looking for amazon.ca is starting to get more and more stuff. most times they offer free shipping as well. not nearly as good as the american site tho.

Some stuff on the amazon.com sites are shippable to Canada.

Ya the canadian dollar being so low really makes US shopping pricey!
